The 2025 Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (IARF) Conference & Expo brought together community-based I/DD and Behavioral Health providers, offering a variety of educational sessions for all staff levels, an exhibit hall featuring innovative products and solutions, a full day dedicated to DSPs, with networking and social events all across the span of three days.
Two ongoing Intersect for Ability projects were represented at this conference: The Current and the Workforce Growth Project. The Current participated in the Expo, where their team offered a hands-on demonstration to attendees. The Current’s team also presented on tips for designing a meaningful and effective schedule. The Wellbeing Resource Toolkit was introduced as the final product of the Workforce Growth Project. This presentation highlighted how trauma has impacted our workforce culture and shared the Wellbeing Resource Toolkit to help agencies address employee wellbeing as a trauma-informed strategy.
