The service providers listed are not specially endorsed by Enhanced Medical Services or any of its affiliates.

The Coleman Foundation

The Coleman Foundation is a private, independent grantmaking foundation established in Illinois in 1951. The Foundation supports educational institutions offering entrepreneurship education, organizations providing cancer treatment, education and support, and agencies providing services for individuals with developmental disabilities only in the Chicago Metropolitan area - its primary geographical focus.

Problem Statement

The recruitment and retention of qualified staff, particularly with Direct Support Professionals (DSP), has become a significant issue for human service agencies in Illinois and across the country. Attracting and retaining a competent workforce is the number one, common priority among Intersect for Ability agencies. Brainstorming creative strategies and finding innovative solutions is an ongoing goal.
